DIY:

Creative Serving Area

Once while hosting Book Club with some wonderful women I discovered I was lacking space to serve all the amazing food that kept arriving. My friend Jordan quickly suggested that I use the 3 square bar stools I had as a serving area...fabulous idea!!! We pushed them together over against a bare wall and voila, we piled it with serving platters and delicious food! I say the next time you throw a P.A.R.T.Y try this.
this great bar stool found here.
Imagine:
Drink Bar-
3 bar stools, 2 serving trays, one piled with drinks and the other with cute napkins, an ice bowl and some chunky glasses...maybe even a small bouquet of fresh flowers for a splash of color!
Delicious Desserts -
Same idea as listed above but pile the trays with any yummy desserts: cookies, candies, cupcakes or a trifle...you get the idea. I think adding a serving tier would make for a beautiful design element!

Good luck creating fabulous serving areas at your next P.A.R.T.Y!!!

Party Advice!

I have often been told that when throwing a P.A.R.T.Y always use white dishes. This is great advice! This allows you to mix and match any various pieces from expensive china to thrift store finds. Since all the pieces are white, it just works. *Bonus...you can always add any splash of color you choose! I have my own small collection, but I loved these beauties featured at The Party Dress.

Fun-Funky-Chunky-Confetti

This cover was my inspiration...
Look at that huge confetti!!!
I just had to have it for a party!
So, I went shopping and this
beautiful wrapping paper is what I found...
but in many more colors and iridescents!
Each roll was only a dollar...the price was right!
I discovered that by removing
the inside cardboard roll
and cutting the paper into 1" chunky sections
then cutting each newly created circle section in half
I now have my own
fun-funky-chunky-confetti!!!

$5 Flower Arrangement

This is a flower arrangement that I put together for this P.A.R.T.Y.
How I pulled it off for only 5 bucks...I already had the large white pitcher. I bought a bouquet of beautiful sunflowers ($5) at our local grocery store. I then drove around with my mom (thanks mom) and cut clippings off of local blossoming bushes and trees (with permission of course and free of charge). The result...this beautiful arrangement...and I was very pleased!
